The creation and dissemination of our sign-on Statement was a first step intended to show the world that there is a multitude of people who have fundamental concerns about the current directions of our educational, economic, and political systems; and bring together many of these like-minded individuals into a network concerned with moving the world forward.  

 

We cannot win these demands without struggle, coalition building, without concerted and coordinated action at the grassroots and international levels.
